ASBESTOS PROJECT DESIGNER

This course has been designed for anyone who plans the scope, timing, phasing and/or remediation methods to be utilized on any asbestos project.

A Project Designer must possess a valid Project Designer certificate and have their certificate or a copy of their certificate with them at all times while working on the project.

This 3-day course (8 hours per day) is designed to accredit individuals who determine how asbestos abatement work should be conducted. It combines lectures, discussions and demonstrations.
Course includes the following topics:
· Overview of abatement construction projects
· Safety system design specifications
· Personal protective equipment
· Fiber aerodynamics and control
· Designing abatement solutions
· Writing abatement specifications
· Regulatory overview.

This course has been designed for anyone (other than an asbestos abatement contractor, or their employee), who oversees the scope, timing, phasing and/or remediation methods to be utilized on any asbestos project.
A Project Monitor must possess a valid Project Monitor certificate and must have their certificate or a copy of their certificate with them at all times while working on the project.

This 5-day course (8 hours per day) combines lectures, discussions and hand-on workshops to accredit individuals who serve as on-site representatives of building owners to oversee asbestos abatement work.
Course includes the following topics:
· State-of-the-art work practices
· Personal hygiene
· Safety hazards
· Air monitoring
· Personal protective equipment
· Regulatory overview
· Supervisory techniques.
