EPA Lead Based Paint Inspector

This three (3) day course will teach the legal and technical issues and obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards, to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines.

Health concerns of lead
Risk assessment methods
Sampling and testing methods
Lead abatement implementation
Worker protection and safety
Certification of inspectors
Use of XRF paint analyzers.
