This 1 day (8 hour) refresher course is required for all accredited asbestos Project Monitors to extend their accreditation for a one-year period. This course has been designed for anyone (other than an asbestos abatement contractor, or their employee), who oversees the scope, timing, phasing and/or remediation methods to be utilized on any asbestos project. A Project Monitor must possess a valid Project Monitor certificate and must have their certificate or a copy of their certificate with them at all times while working on the project. This course combines lectures, discussions and hand-on workshops to accredit individuals who serve as on-site representatives of building owners to oversee asbestos abatement work. Course includes the following topics:

• Personal hygiene
• Safety hazards
• Air monitoring
• Personal protective equipment
• Regulatory overview
• Supervisory techniques.
